Types of Membership


  1. Professional Members: Someone who is employed as an administrative professional or who has attained the Certified Professional Secretary (CPS) or  Certified Administrative Professional (CAP) rating, or a teacher who is employed in business education.
  2. Student Member: Someone who is enrolled as a business education student (maximum of 4 years in this classification)
  3. Associate Member: An associate member may be an individual, firm or educational institution that sustains the objectives of IAAP. This classification allows the company to own the membership and to specify a contact person for the company.

The CPS® and CAPCM designations are an industry-recognized level of excellence. These ratings indicate to employers and colleagues that an administrative professional possesses advanced knowledge and skills.
